Simplex TrueAlarm analog sensors provide addressable smoke and temperature detection. They feature digital communication, programmable sensitivity, environmental compensation, and individual device supervision for reliable fire alarm system performance.
Simplex TrueAlarm analog sensors provide addressable smoke and temperature detection through two-wire IDNet or MAPNET II communications. Each sensor transmits digital measurements to the fire alarm control unit, where the information is analyzed to identify alarm conditions, contamination, or abnormal operation.
TrueAlarm technology maintains an individual reference value for each sensor and compensates for changes caused by environmental conditions, dust accumulation, contamination, or component aging. This helps maintain system accuracy and reduce unwanted alarms caused by sensitivity variations.

Key features
Depending on the model and system configuration, these sensors are compatible with Simplex 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES, and 4100U fire alarm control units, among others listed in the technical data sheet. The sensor base, relay, remote indicator, and other accessories are selected separately according to the installation requirements.
The documentation identifies applicable UL and ULC listings, FM approval, and CSFM references. The validity and scope of each approval should be confirmed for the selected SKU and the jurisdiction where the product will be installed.
Important information for service stations: The data sheet identifies these products as NEMA 1 and does not classify them as explosion-proof equipment. Installation at service stations must be evaluated by a qualified specialist according to the hazardous-area classification, NFPA 72, and applicable local regulations.
