Non-addressable Simplex TrueAlert speaker strobe for audible and visible emergency notification. It combines clear voice and tone reproduction with a synchronized xenon strobe, selectable intensity settings of 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela, and wall- or ceiling-mount configurations. Different colors, markings, and product listings are available depending on the selected model.

Additional information

Simplex TrueAlert S/V notification appliances combine a multi-tap speaker and a multi-candela xenon strobe in a durable solution for fire alarm systems. Their non-addressable design allows connection to conventional audio and notification circuits, providing both audible and visible warning to support a fast response during an emergency. The strobe intensity can be configured during installation for 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela. This flexibility allows each appliance to be adapted to the requirements of the protected space while reducing the need to stock separate models for different light output levels. The regulated strobe circuit operates at 24 VDC within a range of 16 to 33 VDC and provides consistent flash output with controlled inrush current. When several appliances are visible from the same location, synchronized flashing helps reduce the distraction caused by random flashes. The strobes can be synchronized through Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs) that use the Simplex synchronization format or through optional synchronization modules for Class A or Class B operation. The datasheet specifies a flash rate of 1 Hz and supports up to 35 synchronized strobes per NAC, subject to system design and electrical load calculations. The speaker provides high-quality voice and tone reproduction with 25 VRMS or 70.7 VRMS input options and selectable power taps of ¼, ½, 1, or 2 W. The speaker and strobe use separate wiring, supporting integration with supervised fire alarm circuits. Main features:

This product family is suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal projects that require audible and visible fire alarm notification. It may also be considered for appropriate indoor areas at service stations, provided that the project engineer confirms compatibility with the location classification, environmental conditions, and applicable codes. Request a quotation from WIS and specify the required model, mounting configuration, color, lettering, and certification. Final selection of strobe intensity, speaker power, and accessories must be based on the occupancy, system design, and applicable regulations, including NFPA 72.
